Better Late Than Never!

If you live in Ontario then you know what a crappy summer we've had. It's ironic because I moved back from BC this year to enjoy a nice hot Ontario summer, and instead we've gotten tons of rain and temperatures rarely over 30 degrees. I guess I jinxed myself and brought back the BC weather with me! But all this week, and for the last long weekend of the summer, we have finally gotten some sunshine!! Of course, I'm too busy packing and planning my trip that I don't have time to go outside and enjoy this beautiful weather...Just my luck...

But hopefully I will get some of this wonderful sunshine on my trip. There is nothing worse than traveling and sight-seeing in the rain (just ask any of the girls that went to Australia with me this year...can you say torrential rain storm?!). In any normal situation, if it rains, you would just go inside and change your plans. But when you're traveling and have a certain time frame to stick to, you can't just hole up inside somewhere and waste away the day! So I've got my umbrella packed and I'm prepared for whatever Mother Nature throws my way (well, unless its a freak snowstorm).

PS. Here's a pic of us in Australia trying to do some sight-seeing but not seeing very much because of all the rain and fog! Although it wasn't the ideal situation we just had to grin and bear it, and make the most out of it! (And at least we now have funny stories to tell!)
