We are in the home stretch! This time next week I will be in London! And that's London ENGLAND I'm talking about, NOT Ontario- home to the Queen, afternoon tea, and boys with cute British accents! :)
This week is definitely going to be a crazy one. Not only do I have to finish my last minute preparations for my trip, but I will be busy getting together with friends and family for the "last time", and- the most dreaded part- I still have to pack. I have been putting it off because I'm worried that 1) all my stuff won't fit in my backpack, or 2) it's going to be ridiculously heavy so that I can't even lift it. I'm thinking its going to be a combination of the two. How the heck am I going to fit 2 months worth of stuff in one backpack?! I'm the girl who takes a carry-on sized suitcase with her when she's going somewhere OVERNIGHT.
Even just the necessities seem like a lot of stuff: Bathing suit, running shoes, sandals, sunscreen, pants, shorts, pajamas, sunglasses...and don't get me started on the toiletries! That ALONE will take up half my space: shampoo, conditioner, contact solution, soap, toothpaste, hair gel, deodorant...the list goes on and on! And trust me, I have nixed a ton of stuff already. I WISH I could take my hair dryer, flat iron, heels, laptop- but NOPE, those are staying at home.
So if you thought that my biggest challenge of this trip would be trying to navigate my way around foreign countries all by myself, well you thought wrong. If I can manage to squeeze all my stuff into my backpack AND be able to carry it- then I think I can do just about anything! I'll keep ya posted on how it goes...
Love, Dianna
