After an exhausting first day in London yesterday I treated myself by sleeping in today! I rolled out of bed around 10:30, and got ready to explore the city! My brother and Laura were both at work so I set off on my own, feeling like a real Londoner (I folded up my directions in my hand so no one would notice!), and headed toward Notting Hill. About 10 minutes into my journey I sensed that I had missed the turn I was supposed to take. Not panicking, I decided to just turn down the next street, hoping it would meet up with where I wanted to go. This didn't happen as I quickly realized the streets in London don't really go in a straight line. I kept walking, kept turning in the direction I thought I should be going in, and somehow (probably sheer luck) I made it to Portobello Road! I stopped into a bookstore to pick up a magazine and I found the best invention ever. All the magazines came in two sizes: regular and travel size! How smart is that! Love it!
When Laura was done at work I met up with her at The Hummingbird Bakery. They are said to have the best cupcakes in town and I have to agree! We chowed down on the yummy treats so fast that I forgot to take a picture- so this is the only evidence we were there....

Next on the agenda: The London Eye! Laura and I met up with my brother and we took the Champagne Flight. Not only did we get a yummy glass of bubbly, but we also got amazing views of London, and a sunset to boot! So for all you people who were complaining I haven't been taking enough pictures, here you go!
