Since our train to Valencia didn't leave until 10pm we had another full day to enjoy in Granada. Just our luck though, when we woke up it was pouring out! Fortunately by the time we left our hotel it was starting to clear up and it turned out to be a beautiful day!
Mom was in the shopping mood so we checked out some shops in the Old Town, then we decided to take a break at a cafe by ordering a Spanish speciality- churros and chocolate! Churros are deep fried tubes of goodness (same kind of batter as a funnel cake or those Tiny Tom donuts) and they give you a cup of chocolate to dip them in- delightful!
We then took the bus up to the Albaicin (another area of town) and walked around for a bit. We got some great views of the Alhambra from up there! Instead of taking the bus again we walked down to the part of town and did a bit more shopping/exploring. We stopped by the internet cafe to research some hotels for Barcelona and Marseille (and update my blog, too!) then it was back to the hotel to grab our bags, grab some dinner, and then head to the train station.
Love, Dianna
