This trail definitely isn't for everybody. If you're out of shape or afraid of heights then I definitely don't recommend it! If not- its an experience you should not miss! It's tough, I'm not gonna lie- I thought I was in pretty good shape until today! It's very hilly and rocky, the trails are narrow...and did I mention its on the side of a cliff? But the views were spectacular! I'm definitely living "la dolce vita" (the sweet life)! The guide said it should take about 5 hours to do the 9km...we did it in 4.5 including a few stops on the way!
When we got back into town we stopped for gelato (we definitely deserved it this time!) and we WERE planning on jumping in the water and hanging out on the beach for the rest of the afternoon, but as soon as we got there it started to rain! But I guess its lucky that the rain didn't start until AFTER we were done the trail (even though we weren't too happy about it).
Tomorrow I am off to Pisa and then to Rome...did I mention I LOOOOVE Italian? No, I'm not talking about the food (although I do love that!), but just the LANGUAGE itself! It just sounds so beautiful and romantic! I have no idea what people are saying but I love it!
Ciao! (that's one of the few words I know haha)
Love, Dianna
